Hall of Fame Signage Highlights a School’s History of State Championships at Lincoln-Way High School

Walking through the halls of Lincoln-Way East high school in Frankfort, Illinois, is like walking through the pages of a school yearbook. Team pictures, action shots, and photos of teams holding up state championship trophies line the school’s new State Champions wall.

Along the wall, there is a plaque for every state championship team and state runner up. “Lincoln-Way East has a history of success, and they wanted to celebrate their school’s accomplishments in a dynamic way,” says Tom Wilcoxen, Business Development at Latitude Signage + Design.

Our team delivered a high impact school record wall that is personalized to the students. To start things off, vinyl graphics were applied directly to a concrete wall. This high energy design serves as the base for a video screen that highlights the school’s most recent achievements. There are also dimensional letters that announce the Hall of Fame and give the space texture.

Following the colorful introduction to the Hall of Fame there is a special spot that features the school’s most recent state championship. Continuing down the hallway is plaque after plaque celebrating the school’s athletic prowess.

Each plaque has a lightweight MDF base covered with a digital print comprised of team photos, newspaper clippings, and action shots that highlight that year’s team. The year, sport, and state champions title is created with dimensional acrylic letters, acrylic, and brushed aluminum in light brass or satin aluminum finishes.
